Location Located in Dournazac, the main village of this commune in the Haute Vienne, you will find all the usual village amenities. Close by is the ancient chateau of Richard the Lionheart, now restored and open to the public. This region of France, the Limousin, is noted for it's rural charm. Limoges, its historic capital city (40kms away on the N21) is, however is a sophisticated town with all modern facilities including a new venue which attracts World class performers. Its porcelain production is acknowledged to be among the World's finest. FlyBe and Ryanair offer regular services to its airport. Chalus, Bussiere Galant, Pensol, Mialet are local towns within a short distance of the cottage, where you can find markets, shopping, horse riding, fishing, woodland walks and an adventure park. Enjoy the wildlife, bird watching and walking in the undulating farm and woodland. and the clear night skies. Local amenities include; • Swimming in nearby lakes with sandy beaches, • Excellent restaurants - particularly good value for the midday menu, • Four uncluttered golf courses from 40mins away, • Local markets, • Historic monuments and chateaux along the Route Richard Coeur du Lion The Property This stone cottage has recently been extended and renovated to a high standard with modern facilities. It has a nicely kept front and back garden with space to relax and off-street parking. Village shops are only a few yards away. There are two bedrooms, one WC/bathroom, one WC/shower room, a large, light open-plan living room with American-style galley kitchen. Please note: The cottage is for non-smokers only and pets are not allowed. |
